When every meal feels like a battle and every mirror feels like a judgment, it’s time for support

When you struggle with food, life can feel exhausting. Thoughts about what you should or shouldn’t eat can take up so much mental space. A dinner out with your friends can send you into an anxiety spiral wondering if there is anything on the menu you feel comfortable eating.

And when you do allow yourself to eat, you may be filled with fear, wondering if you’ll be able to stop.

Then comes the guilt.
Guilt if you eat too little.
Guilt if you eat too much.

It can feel like you’re carrying so much shame around food and your body. You rarely feel satisfied with how you look, and you find yourself constantly searching for ways to lose weight.

If you’re tired of living this way and want to build a more peaceful relationship with food and your body, therapy can help.

You won’t be judged here for how you eat, what you weigh, or how you feel about your body.

My name is Alyssa Keul, and I am therapist who specializes in treating eating disorders and body image. I provide support for a healthier relationship with food and your body. Together, we focus on:

  • Exploring thoughts and feelings about food and body size

  • Building self-trust and a kinder relationship with your body

  • Finding balance and reducing stress around exercise

  • Shifting focus away from weight and food rules toward what matters in your life

  • Developing skills to understand and manage emotions, without relying only on food

  • Dismantling beliefs rooted in diet and wellness culture

Our Services

All therapy services are offered through secure, HIPAA-compliant video telehealth sessions.

Individual Therapy

Sessions are 50 minutes in length. In our first one or two sessions, we’ll spend time getting to know you and gathering information that helps me understand your relationship with food and your body, your eating disorder, and any other concerns you’d like to address. Together, we’ll then create a treatment plan that reflects your goals and what you hope to get out of therapy.

Most clients choose to meet weekly or biweekly for individual sessions, where we continue working towards those goals at a pace that’s supportive and sustainable.

Group Therapy

Many participants find that healing alongside others helps reduce isolation and build a sense of hope and connection in recovery. Midlife and Beyond is a therapy group for women ages 30 and older who are working toward recovery from an eating disorder. The group meets weekly on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 PM. This group offers a supportive and confidential space to receive encouragement, share experiences, and gain insight from peers in a setting that is safe and non-judgmental.

Support for Families

Knowing how to support someone you care about through eating disorder recovery can feel confusing and overwhelming. Whether you are a parent, partner, or loved one, you may want to help but feel unsure of what to say or how to show up in a way that feels supportive.

These sessions focus on education, communication, and understanding, while honoring each person’s role and the unique needs of the recovery process.
